Who you are dealing with

This site belongs to Mynds Digital, a limited liability company based in Birmingham, West Midlands B20. Using the site means you accept what is on this page. Reach us at info@myndsdigital.co.uk or 0203 545 7892.

Quotes and prices

Every price on this site is a starting price for the work described, not a fixed rate for your project. What you pay is the figure on the written quote we send you, and that figure holds for 30 days.

• Website builds start at £1,000. Larger builds start at £1,600.
• Web hosting starts at £100 a year and renews annually.
• Search engine optimization starts at £449 a month with no lock-in.
• CRM, ERP, AI and integration work is quoted per project after we have scoped it.

Prices are in pounds sterling. Anything outside the written quote, including paid advertising budgets, licenses bought on your behalf and third party fees, is billed at cost and only with your approval first.

When you pay

This is the part people ask about most, so here it is plainly.

• Projects under £1,000. You pay after the work is delivered and you have told us you are satisfied with it. Nothing up front, and we do not keep a card on file.
• Projects of £1,000 and above. 50% to begin and 50% once you have approved the preview. The second payment is due before the site goes live.
• Retainers. Hosting is billed annually in advance. SEO and maintenance retainers are billed monthly in advance and either side can stop them with 30 days notice.

Pay after delivery applies while the site is hosted with us. If you want the site on your own hosting or somebody else's, that is your call and we will build it either way, but the standard 50% deposit applies instead.

Invoices are due within 14 days. Work pauses on accounts more than 30 days overdue.

The free demo

Before you commit to a website project we build a demo of your homepage and put it on a preview link. That costs you nothing and carries no obligation.

• If you want to go ahead, we finish the site and the terms above apply.
• If you do not, say so or say nothing. We remove the preview from our server seven days later.
• The demo stays our property until the project is paid for.

What we need from you

Projects slip for one reason more than any other, which is waiting on content. We need your text, images, logins and approvals when we ask for them. Where a deadline matters, we will tell you at the start what has to arrive and when.

You confirm that anything you send us, including images, logos and copy, is yours to use. We are not responsible for a claim arising from material you supplied.

Revisions and scope

Two rounds of revisions are included on a website build, which covers layout, copy placement, colors and images. Work that changes what the site does rather than how it looks is new scope, and we quote it separately before starting.

Who owns the finished work

You do, once the project is paid for. That covers the design, the page templates, the content we wrote for you and the database structure. You get administrator access to everything and the domain stays registered in your name throughout.

We keep the right to our own reusable code, tools and internal libraries, and the right to show the finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to. Third party software keeps its own license: WordPress plugins, fonts, stock images and hosted services are licensed to you, not transferred by us.

Hosting, domains and renewals

Web hosting and domain registration are annual everywhere in the world and ours are no different. We send the renewal notice before it is due.

• Hosting includes SSL, daily backups, updates and monitoring at no extra charge.
• Larger applications run on AWS, billed monthly and sized to the project.
• Unpaid hosting is suspended after 14 days and removed after 60. We tell you before either happens.
• You can move your site to another host at any time and we will hand over the files.

We keep the servers up and patched, but no host anywhere guarantees 100% uptime and we do not claim to either.

Marketing results

SEO and advertising work is measured and reported, and it is not guaranteed. Nobody controls Google's ranking algorithm, and anyone who tells you they can put you first for a competitive term is selling you something. We report on calls and form submissions rather than impressions, so you can see what the spend returned.

Stopping work

Either side can end a project in writing. You pay for the work completed to that point and we hand over what has been paid for. Deposits already paid cover work already done and are not refundable, and if we have taken more than the work was worth, we return the difference.

Liability

Our liability on any project is limited to what you paid us for it. We are not liable for lost profit, lost data or business interruption. Nothing here removes a right you have under United Kingdom law that cannot be signed away.

Changes to these terms

We update this page when the way we work changes, and the date at the top moves with it. The version that applies to your project is the one in force when you accepted the quote.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Midlands. Disputes go to the courts of Palm Beach County, and before that, to a phone call, which has settled every disagreement we have had so far.
