The questions people ask before they hire us

Domains, hosting, migration, payment terms and what happens if the demo is not what you wanted. Answered plainly, because these are the things that decide whether you call.

The one everybody asks first

When do I pay?

Work under £1,000 is paid after we deliver it and you are satisfied with it. Nothing up front and no card on file. Above £1,000 it is 50% to begin and 50% once you have approved the preview, with the second half due before the site goes live.

Pay-after-delivery applies while the site is hosted with us.

Before you hire us

Will the website be on my own domain, or do I have to buy a new one?

It goes live on the domain you already own. You do not need to buy another one and you do not need to move the registration to us. If you have not registered a domain yet we will register it in your name, and it stays in your name.

What happens if I do not like the demo?

Nothing. There is no obligation either way. We take the preview off our server seven days later and that is the end of it. You have not paid anything and you do not owe us an explanation.

Are there charges for moving my existing site over?

No. Migration is part of the build rather than a separate line on the invoice. We move the content, keep the URL structure so your existing Google rankings survive the move, and point the domain when you say the word.

Who owns the site once it is finished?

You do. The domain is in your name and you get administrator access to everything, so you can move the site to another host whenever you want. We do not hold logins, files or DNS hostage.

How long does a website take?

A standard redesign runs about two to three weeks. The homepage reaches you in the first few days, because nothing else gets built until you have signed off on it. Larger builds with a CRM or an ERP behind them are quoted with their own timeline.

Hosting, domains and business email

Where will my website be hosted?

On our own managed cloud infrastructure. We run dedicated servers in London and Manchester rather than reselling somebody else's shared plan, so when something needs looking at we are the people with root access, not a support ticket in a queue.

Is hosting a one-time payment or does it repeat?

It renews once a year. Domain registration and web hosting are annual everywhere in the world and ours are no different. Hosting starts at £100 a year and you get the renewal notice before it is due, not after.

What does the hosting fee cover?

Maintenance that runs daily rather than when something breaks. Core and plugin updates, uptime monitoring, security patching and backups are all inside the annual fee. That is the work you are paying for, and most of it happens on days you never hear from us.

Is SSL included?

Yes. SSL and daily backups come with every hosting plan. Neither is an upsell and neither is billed separately.

Can your hosting handle WordPress, WooCommerce or a large Laravel build?

Yes. Standard sites and stores run on our dedicated servers. For heavier builds we put the project on AWS, billed monthly and sized to what the application needs. We tell you which one your project belongs on before you commit.

Can you set up business email on my domain?

Yes. We are a Google Workspace reseller, so you get mailboxes on your own domain at reseller pricing. We handle the migration from whatever you are on now and configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC so the mail lands in inboxes rather than spam folders.

Websites, CRM and ERP

Which platform will you build on?

WordPress when you want to edit pages yourself, Shopify or WooCommerce when you are selling, and Laravel when the site has real logic behind it. We recommend one and explain why. You are not talked into a platform because it is quicker for us.

Do you build CRM and ERP systems as well as websites?

Yes, and that is a growing share of what we do. Customer records, quotes, job tracking, inventory, invoicing and reporting, built on Laravel around the way your business already works. These are quoted per project because no two are the same.

Can you move me off Wix, Squarespace or GoDaddy?

Yes. Squarespace to WordPress and Wix to WordPress are two of the jobs we do most often. The content and the URLs come across so the rankings you already have keep working.

Will I be able to edit the site myself?

Yes. Every section is editable from the admin panel, including the parts most agencies hard-code. If you would rather not touch it, send the change to us and we will do it.

Marketing, SEO and AI

Will the site be built for SEO or do I pay extra for that?

The technical side is built in: clean markup, fast pages, sitemaps, schema and proper titles on every page. Ongoing SEO, which means content, links and monthly reporting, is a separate retainer starting at £449 a month.

How soon will I see SEO results?

Technical fixes show up in weeks. Rankings for anything competitive take months, and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something. We report on calls and form submissions rather than impressions, so you can see what the money returned.

What can AI automation do for my business?

The repetitive part of your week. Quote follow-ups that go out without you remembering, a chatbot trained on your own documents rather than a generic one, leads routed to the right person, and reports that build themselves. We scope it against your actual workflow before quoting.

Do you work with businesses outside the United Kingdom?

Yes. Most clients are in the UK, and we have built for businesses in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Hosting location is chosen for where your visitors are, not where we are.

Still have a question we have not answered?

Send it over. You get a reply from a person who has done the work, usually the same day.

Under £1,000 you pay after the work is delivered and you are satisfied.
