Privacy policy
Short, because this site collects very little. What it does collect is listed below, along with how to get rid of it.
Last updated 9 August 2026.
What we collect
Three things. The details you type into a form on this site, the ordinary server log every website keeps, and a count of which pages get read.
- The website brief and the contact form. Your name, email address, phone number and whatever you tell us about the project. All of it is given by you, on purpose, because you want a quote back.
- Server logs. IP address, browser, the page requested and the time. Our servers write these automatically, they are used to keep the site up and to investigate abuse, and they are deleted on a rolling 30 day cycle.
- Visit statistics. Which pages are opened, roughly where in the world the visitor is, and which site they arrived from. This is measured by Google Analytics and it is described under Cookies below. It is counting, not identifying: your name is never part of it.
We do not ask for payment card numbers on this site. Invoices are paid through a payment provider that handles the card details itself, and we never see them.
What we do with it
We reply to you. That is the whole purpose. Your brief is used to prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, to build the thing you asked for.
We do not sell your details, rent them, or hand them to a data broker. We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote. If we ever start a newsletter you will have to ask for it.
Who else sees it
Only the companies that make the site work, and only the part each one needs:
- Our own servers in London and Manchester, and Amazon Web Services for larger applications.
- Google Workspace, which carries our email, so anything you write to us sits in a mailbox there.
- Google Fonts, which serves the two typefaces on this site and receives the request your browser makes for them.
- Google Analytics, which counts visits. What it receives is set out under Cookies below.
If a court or a law requires us to hand something over, we will, and we will tell you unless we are forbidden from doing so.
Cookies
This site runs Google Analytics, and that is the one thing on it that measures you. It sets a small number of cookies in your browser so that two pages read one after the other are counted as one visit rather than two. We use it to see which pages are worth keeping and which ones nobody reads.
It does not run advertising pixels, it does not follow you to other websites, and the setting that would let Google use this data to target ads at you is switched off. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored, so it points at a city rather than at a building.
There is no consent banner. Under UK law none is required for counting of this kind, and a banner that appears on every visit to ask about one analytics cookie costs you more attention than the cookie costs you privacy. Instead, here is the switch: Google publishes a browser add-on that turns Analytics off on every site you visit, and private browsing or an ad blocker stops it as well. Nothing on this site breaks when you do that, and we would rather you read the pages than the banner.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not turn into projects: two years, then deleted.
- Client project records: seven years, because tax rules require it.
- Server logs: 30 days.
Your choices
Write to info@myndsdigital.co.uk and ask for a copy of what we hold on you, a correction to it, or its deletion. We answer within 30 days. There is no form to fill in and no fee.
Under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you have these rights by law. We apply them to everybody who asks, wherever you are.
Children
This site sells business services and is not aimed at anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect their details, and we delete anything of the sort as soon as we find it.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Form submissions are stored on servers we control and administer ourselves rather than on shared hosting. Backups run daily. No system is perfect, and if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you rather than hope you do not notice.
Changes
When this policy changes the date at the top changes with it. Material changes get an email to current clients.
